The London brunches worth queueing for
Ten London brunch spots where the wait is genuinely worth it, plus the ones where you can skip it entirely, all picked by locals who actually turn up and queue. The Saturday queue is real, but it shifts fast. Bacon and maple pastry, a flat white, then straight onto the grass. Get there before 10 or accept your place in the line.

They serve booze, so the wait is entirely survivable. Fish finger sarnie or the French toast, then keep drinking until it's legally lunch. Nobody has to know.
Your backup when the London Fields queue is out the door and round the corner. Same pastries, less hovering, and you're 30 seconds from the park with them.
Breakfast runs all day, which takes the panic out of rolling in at 12:30. Clapton descends on Sundays so expect 20 minutes, then eat it surrounded by plants.

Queue at the bakery counter or hold out for a table, both are correct. Pastry, eggs, and a glass of natural wine at 11am because you're on holiday in your own city.
The eggs in the pan with sage butter and toast are why you're standing outside on the cobbles. Tiny room, no bookings, weekends are carnage. Worth it.
The calm one. Pastries, pizzetta or a slab of lasagne at a Chatsworth Road table with no queue in sight before noon. Save the proper Italian for dinner.
