In the heart of Victoria Park sits the original Pavilion site, right by the lake. Inspired by the heady days of owner Rob Green’s travels through Sri Lanka, dahl and chai were the order of the day when setting up shop. Of course, coffee came hand in hand and bang, Pavilion was born. Here you’ll find pastries, sarnies and breakfast aplenty, but that dahl is sturdily clung to the menu – and we definitely recommend it. Top tip: check out Pavilion’s smaller sister sites on Columbia Rd, Broadway Market and Shoreditch’s Truman Brewery.
