The Clarence Tavern offers British and European influenced seasonal dishes and banging wines (mostly low-intervention and all that) to boot. Located in a building that’s spent most of its life as a pub, you might be forgiven for underestimating the quality of the food on offer at The Clarence; it’s very much restaurant level, and bloody good restaurant level at that. A covered, heated garden means you can brind your dog for dinner too, but wear a jacket ladies and gents, it can get a bit nippy dining al fresco. Top tip: with a Sunday offering that’s not-quite roasts (but more than near enough) this is a great spot for all the family.
