Residing in the converted bike shed of old Rochelle School on Arnold Circus, Shoreditch, access to it lies behind a door with a buzzer, but there's a sense of escapism the minute you step into the walled garden. Established in 2004 by Melanie Arnold and Margot Henderson, Rochelle's modern British fare is simplistic but flavour driven – whether you're sinking your teeth into a seasonal pie or the fish of the day you'll be savouring every last mouthful. The food really speaks for itself and the wine list is unmatched, too. Drink every drop.
