Self-described as “the wine-drinkers clubhouse”, you can't criticise Planque for any delusions. It's not to say that the very cheffy food is an accompaniment to the wine, but whereas wine can sometimes be an afterthought to the menu, at Planque both have been developed symbiotically. A huge warehouse setting provides the backdrop for this mostly French-inspired restaurant, and despite some hipster sensibilities amongst the decor and staff uniforms, the product does the business. Top tip: whilst also a menu for sharing, Planque's refined offering means that some dishes don't exactly feed the 5000, so make sure you're looking at the larger dishes if you want fulfillment from your wonderfully modern sharing sensibilities.
