Essentially, Hoko is a Hong Kong take on a greasy spoon. “One of those places where I want to order one of everything,” says co-founder Jack. (Reader: he does that a lot.) It's all the fried comfort and unhealthy nourishment your local cafe provides but with flavours they could never get their heads around. The Hong Kong French Toast is an absolute must. Top tip: be sure to try the Hong Kong milk tea, too, a sweet delight originating amongst Hong Kong’s working class in the ‘50s, now an artisanal form of tea-drinking.
