Do you know when you watch Scarface and you think, that's the life for me. It's achievable. Gloria is where it's at. It's how I imagine Carmela Soprano would design a restaurant. This is probably all quite offensive to the team who have successfully brought the authentic taste and setting of 70's Naples to Shoreditch. A diatribe written through the gangster-flick-tinted glasses I can't help but wear when in there. I, of course, turned up in all-black cos I'm cool. Don't. Give me shoulder pads, puff sleeves and kinked hair (if I wasn't losing mine). Amazing decor, uplifting to the worst of moods and genuinely incredible Italian food that makes you feel like it's all proper, proper proper. Top tip: multiple visits required. Many, many, many multiple visits required. If somehow, you're needy enough to want any more pizzazz from Gloria, than their lemon meringue is served tall and thin, rather like a shark fin. Get it in your jaws. Duh duh. Duh duh duh duh duh. DUH DUH.
